Our aim is to optimise energy assets, and just as we design, build and operate energy storage, we take charging stations from the first question (“does this location pay off?”) to daily operation. You get one partner and one system, from plan to payout.
How it works

1 · The plan
We assess the site and build its business case: how many charge points, what power, what occupancy to expect, what revenue that produces — and what it costs. We simulate the plan with Greenbox IO, the same simulation we use for our storage projects, before anything is ordered.
2 · The project
Permits, grid connection, hardware selection, installation, commissioning. We manage it; you approve it.
3 · The operation
Every Greenbox location runs on Greenbox Charge IO, the charging platform we operate ourselves. No third-party backend, no licence fee per charge point, no lock-in.
What Greenbox Charge IO does
Our own charging platform — for drivers, for hosts, for any charger.
For drivers
The Greenbox app (iOS and Android): find, start, stop, pay — or scan the QR code on the charger and charge without an account. The chargers are open to drivers who are not part of the Greenbox network as well.
For hosts
Your tariff, your revenue: you set the price per kWh and every session is paid out to you. Dashboard and reports: live status of every charge point, full session history, exports — including the session records German funding programmes require. Load management balances the available power across the charge points at the site.
For any charger
OCPP 1.6 — the protocol spoken by nearly every charge point on the market — so you choose the hardware, not the other way round. Eichrecht: certified chargers deliver signed meter readings, and the platform stores them with every session.
When the grid isn't enough
The right location doesn't always come with the right connection. Where grid capacity limits the site, we size a battery into the plan: it buffers the connection, so the site can offer more charging power than the grid alone would allow — planned, integrated and managed by the same team that builds our storage projects.
